This is an original species of mine, this one's name is Spead, in human and feral form. So the story. . .



Short Version: These two species were former government weapons that are now hiding from the government via blending in with society; both having the ability to take a human form. The two species, the Cobras (above) and Angels, loathe eachother, and are fighting an underground battle to destroy one another. the Angels are trying to protect the humans from the Cobras, as the Cobras plot to seek revenge on the government (and humans in general) for underestimating and rejecting them. The government wants both species dead, but is more focused on restoring peace after the escape of these two species in the world caused extensive devastation and fear.

These canine-like creatures were initially created by the government to use as secret weapons when fighting war and as special operatives during missions of stealth and/or high risk, or to help SWAT members and government agents. They were created to be creatures of ultimate stealth, strength, speed, and most importantly, intelligence.

They experimented first, with natural animals like jaguars and dogs, to try and create intelligent forms of those, but were deemed untrainable or not strong enough. So they began looking into genetic mutation, stem cell research and hybrid animals. To avoid controversy of mass producing human-like beings and so humans would not become attracted to the creature sexually, they decided a four-legged operative would be more acceptable, as well as a sturdier structured creature.

After much experimentation, and 26 years of development, they finally created the ultimate creature. the government code-name for them were "Cobras", named perhaps after their black fur and long tongues, but most likely named after their potent venomous "fangs" or incisors.

They were perfect operatives, agents and soldiers, compatible with humans and excellent in stealthy combat. It took only months to train a Cobra, excellent in comparison to the many years it took to train a human. Cobras became a well known weapon of the government, and after 3 years of using the Cobra as a well-hidden government weapon, the information about their success was released to the public.

Publicity of Cobras exploded in the media and merchandise. Countless books, action figures, and eventually movies came out, entailing the awesomeness of the Cobra breed. One movie company, Frayless Productions, actually convinced the government to let the company document the life of a real Cobra, starring a secret-agent trained Cobra. The government flat out refused at first; the capabilities of the Cobra breed could leek out to criminals, hindering the element of surprise of using Cobras. News of the refusal got out, and the public grew angry, speculating if Cobras really possessed the abilities the government bragged about, or if they even existed. In an attempt to show the awesome genetic genius of the Cobra, the government agreed to let the company produce the documentary.

After the movie released, the Cobra was deemed a scientific breakthrough, and an international sensation, to the dismay of the government. Criminals and those high in power began to bombard the U.S. government with pleas, ransom, and bargaining to try and obtain a Cobra. Eventually, criminals purposely devised crimes and wars/ crisis that called for the help of Cobras, to try and obtain the chance to steal or capture a Cobra during its mission to stop the criminal activity. Finally, one was captured. In a secret U.S. mission to extract the boss of a huge human-trafficking operation. It is unknown how the boss caught the Cobra, but due to tracking a tracking device and health monitor placed in each Cobra, the government was able to monitor the Cobra. Eventually the tracking device was extracted. The health monitor continued to work though, so the U.S. worked hard to get the Cobra back. After the kidnapping, The U.S. had to withdraw Cobra operatives from nearly every operation to avoid the chance of a Cobra getting kidnapped.

Four years since the kidnapping passed, and on a mission to investigate, again, a human trafficking operation, they came across a child who had been dragged into the business. The immeadiatly rescued the child, and brought her back to the U.S. for intensive investigation. They took immediate action because the child, had the eyes of the Cobra breed (the white of her eyes were instead black, and the iris gold, with snake-like pupils), as well as the exact tongue pattern of the Cobra stolen. Each Cobra has a unique tongue pattern, so they immeadiatly new something was more than coincidental with this child.

Once brought to the U.S., the girl was tested and probed again and again, and soon the girl became aggressive and restless, tired of being an experiment. When she had been admitted to government lab testing, everyone immeadiatly knew she must be a hybrid of the kidnapped Cobra and a human. But they wanted to investigate how this was possibly possible? Then, after a year of torturous lab experiments, the answer was discovered.

The girl, while returning to her holding-chambers, she tried to escape. The two men holding her were too strong, overwhelming her small body, pinning her down, quickly grabbing cuffs to restrain her, and then: she transformed into a Cobra. In the blink of an eye, she changed, and snapped the neck of both the scientists, beginning her escape from the lab. Quickly, she scaled a wall and broke into the ventilation system, escaping with ease.

In the facility she was being held for testing, also housed the former Cobra government agents, soldiers and operatives. News of her escape was alerted throughout the building, and soon, all the Cobras began trying to escape. The full capabilities of a Cobra unknown, the Cobras were highly under-estimated and detained in simple human-housing with reinforced doors and no obvious routes for escape, minus a bullet-proof vault door that contained them. The Cobras sliced through the concrete walls of their rooms, and began to escape. At the doors of the lab, they were confronted by an army of military and SWAT teams. There, the Cobras gathered together in a pack, and stood on their hind-legs, and began to transform into their human-selves. They all had the attributes of the girl, the eyes, tongue and jet black hair and pale skin. There were male and females standing there, fully naked and exposed of their human forms.

This knowledge had not been released to those who worked with the Cobras. The only people who knew were the few initial scientists who created the Cobras, the head of the CIA and the Presidents who took office. The ability for human transformation was an accident that occured while developing regeneration within the Cobra breed. This ability could not be eradicated within the breed without removing the abiltiy to regenerate entirely, so a decision was made to keep the regeneration, and planned to simply suppress the ability to transform. The scientist were under extreme oath and obligation to keep this secret hidden, for the consequences of leaking this information could be catastrophic, and the results, unknown.

The girl reappeared, human form, and stood in front of the pack of escaped Cobras and raised her hand in arrest. So the escaped Cobras stood there, in human form, and began to raise their hands in surrender as well. The army was so stunned about the transformation, they nearly forgot they were there to contain the Cobras. They moved in to capture -now arrest- the Cobras. The army moved in, surrounding the girl first. One soldier stepped up to the girl to turn her around to cuff her. She began to cry as the soldier stepped closer with the cuffs. Feeling incredibly ashamed to arrest a girl they had once saved from her prison of human trafficking, he put a hand on her shoulder to console her. She looked up to the Agent, the same person who saved her from a life of sex-enslavement, and put her hands on his cheeks in sentiment. The pack of Cobras glanced slightly at each other, but was unnoticed by the army, staring intently at the relationship between the Agent and child. The agent looked lovingly into the girls eyes and apologized, and before he could reach to hold her arm, she snapped his neck with a twist of his head, transformed into Cobra form, and went to town on the army, sleighing in seconds, countless men. This signaled the Cobras to move in and attack the army. In seconds, the pack transformed into their feral Cobra forms, and sleighed the entire army. In 3 minutes, it was over. the 143 Cobras murdered and army of 700 men, with not a single Cobra injured.

Led by the girl, the pack followed her towards the nearby mountains. The lab they escaped from was located far away from any nearby cities, so escape to the mountains was relatively easy, with no further confrontation. With no word from the army, the government figured the worst had happened and came down to the lab with reinforcements and wiser weaponry. By the time the force got to the site of the slaughter, they were too late to capture the Cobras. Though only 20 minutes passed from the time they figured the escape was successful, the Cobras were long gone, given plenty of time to sprint towards any number of ways. Even so, they had to try and search and stop the Cobras from reaching human populated areas.

The government didn't find the escaped Cobras in time. The Cobras discovered and took hostage a small town nearby, eating, killing and raping almost all of the population there in town. The survivors were left poisoned, and given a message to call and give to the government:

Cobras will strike.

Officials responded to the bizarre calls of Cobras devastating a town, and the hunt for the Cobra pack continued. The Cobras were long gone from the town once government arrived. This pattern of destruction spread across the state, and eventually began to spread through out the country. Though some were able to kill a few Cobras, months passed and containment of them seemed no longer plausible, so the choice to eradicate the race came into operation, to stop the devastation from becoming an international pandemic. The plan to remove them was to release a new experimental agent, that had been in development ever since the kidnapping of the first Cobra. The government were developing a new agent to go and rescue the kidnapped Cobra and replace the obsolete Cobra agents. These experimental creatures overcame the regeneration flaw, and were even able to regenerate faster and better. Given a learning capability and intelligence superior to humans, these new creatures were faster, stronger and now smarter.

These still experimental agents were released, only 80 were available. They sought out to kill any remaining Cobra, and to return the body to headquarters once it was safe to do so. The operation was called "Operation Deliverance", and the experiment's code name: Angels. Named after their angelic wings and pure white coat, these Angels definately were the only hope for humanity and savior to the nation.

And so, the battle began. . .

The Angels were super effective, completing mission after mission to save cities from certain destruction, and killing the Cobras quickly and efficiently. As the number of Cobra began to dwindle, suddenly, they vanished. For months, the Angels seeked them, only finding a few who hid in human form, trying to blend with society. As it became clear the killing spree from the Cobras were over, the government decided the Angels had completed their mission of stopping the Cobras from continuing their destruction, and peace had been instilled. The Angels though, estimated the Cobra population has grown well over 1000, and should all be found and killed to reduce the chance of this ever happening again. The Angels tried to convince the government to let them continue their mission, but the government denied their requests and told them re-building the devastated cities were more important. The Angels pitied the weak humans and their simple society and wanted to help, but told the government killing the Cobras were more important. The Angels grew to hate the Cobras over the course of Operation Deliverance after witnessing what they did to weak defenseless creatures (humans) and began to despise and detest them, so could not stand the thought of simply letting the Cobras get away and grow in numbers right under everyone's noses. The government would not budge their decision and ended Operation Deliverance.

The Angels revolted against the government. They escaped government control to go out and continue killing Cobras. The Angels soon began obsessively killing the Cobras, despite if they were doing wrong or were innocent. The Angels would disrupt lives, destroy property and go out of their way just to hunt the Cobras, and soon the government had to take action. The government hunted down the Angels to try and detain them, but once they discovered detainment and capturing Angels was near impossible, the government soon gave orders to kill the Angels to restore peace to daily lives of humans. The Angels realized their lives were in danger, and so logically chose to hide from the government, and continue their affairs in secret. The Angels vanished as the Cobras had, but it was mysterious as to how they were able to. The Cobras were able to blend with society due to their ability to transform to humans, but Angels could not, so where had they gone??

Information that both the Cobras and Angels lived among society had not spread to the public yet, but after the escape, the news spread. Fear struck the nation, but soon the paranoia of fear of the nations safety died after years of no sign of either species.

Little did anyone know, both species were actually thriving, and the war between them or the humans had not ended. Many Cobras still loathed humans, and the Angels secretly protected the people from the wrath of the vengeful Cobras. The Angels tough, had to stay hidden, else the government may kill them. The humans wanted nothing to do with either species, blaming them for their fear and devastation of the nation. Many lives were lost to both the Cobras and Angels, thought humans, and so they detested them both, though the Angels were protecting them. The Angels did not mind the hate of the humans, because their over whelming duty to protect them created an unconditional love felt by the Angels for the humans. To the Angels, the humans were like their children, and needed protection and saving, to help the humans continue their simple quaint society, and so the Angels fought the battle against the Cobras while hoping to one day, convince the humans of their good, and restore trust. Until then, an underground battle rages between the two powerful species, and the battle against society seeks for an end. . .
